My idea is to create an app that will provide information of free events, free give aways, deals in the Chicago area for the Latino Community. There is a website already similar to this known as Free things to do in Chicago. This is a great site, but the problem is that a lot of Spanish speakers don’t know about this site so they don’t have the opportunity to enjoy these great offers. I have three names picked for it “Gratis en Chicago”( Free in Chicago), “ Gratis para ti”( Free for you) or “ Gratis Chicago” ( Free Chicago). I was thinking of using this idea just for our class project but I am thinking of actually making it real. So my first task will be to talk to different Latino businesses and Latino programs/organizations to ask them if they would like to be part of my page. Later on I will talk to even bigger businesses like, Museums, to who ever is in charge of Millennium Park and other bigger brands.
. Before posting anything on the site I will have to come up with a good list so that the site will be nice and ready. By listing free events of these businesses, people will be able to enjoy free stuff and it will bring more traffic to the businesses which it will increase more sales. I am still not sure if I sure charge for businesses to post their events. I will also advertise on the side so that I can make profit of the site. To bring traffic to my site the best media that will facilitate my goal will be Facebook, Twitter, Univision or Telemundo. I will also have posters or flyer around communities.
I will also have something called “Scan this”. People with smart phones will be able to take advantage of this offer. Once I have bigger brands in my page like Target, BestBuy, Walgreens, Pepboys, Sams Club etc. Peoples task will be to scan bar codes of different items from different stores and they will gain points. The more points they score, the more chances they will get to receive a gift card, coupons, discounts or a special free event that only them will know about. By having to scan these products, it will make people to actually walk into the store and not just scan. They will be tempted to buy stuff in which it will increase sales for the store. I’m still thinking of how I will make a profit out of this idea.
1. 1. Creating the website, talking to different businesses about why they should post their free events or free giveaways on my website. Also talking to them about advertising their business in my website. And getting the Latino community to see my site.
2. 2. The Latino community here in Chicago, anyone interested in the Latino Culture and Latinos who come to Chicago for vacation and want to know of free events and stuff in Chicago.
3. 3.Since my page doesn’t exist yet, the audience can’t really say anything about it. What I do want from people is to like my page because it will provide them free stuff and it will increase business sales.
4. 4. I want people to trust my site. I want them to know and feel that they don’t have to spend tons of money to have a fun day in Chicago.
5. 5. To better my page and gain audience trust, I will probably have a comment space in were people will be able to leave their testimonials of how much my site helped them save money. I will also provide them with real information of the places and link them to their site.
6. 6.Personalization, trust, confort, excited, happy, satisfaction.
7. 7. Facebook, google, twitter, Univision, posters/flyers in Latino communities
8. 8.My site will be free. I still need to come up with name. It will have image of Latino artist through the page to make it look artistic.
9. 9.They will be able to attend free events ( which will bring memorable entertaining experiences), get deals or free stuff( which will help people save money).
10. 10. I want people to be part of my site. To use it to their convenience

Our challenge is to create an Interactive Social Media web site for the dog rescue organization New Leash on Life Chicago. The goals of this site, specifically targeted at children include: to educate children about the responsibilities of owning a dog, raise awareness to the current dogs up for adoption through the organization, raise money for the organization through interactive games featuring donation, and to promote adoption of rescued animals.

Title: Instagram Your Look
Audience: The key audience will be mostly 18-30 year olds, journalists, bloggers, online magazines, and people that would like to be seen as fashionable individuals.
Current understanding: The current understanding of Asos is that is a youthful, very British styled brand. They get their inspiration from street style mostly in London and make clothing to represent that population of people. The understanding of Instagram is kind of a same demographic, more middle class. They have to have enough income to afford an iphone to take the instagram photographs. And the current understanding of Lookbook.nu is a very international crowd. Mostly 16-30 year old’s. The socio-economic demographic within lookbook is extremely widespread. It ranges from all designer, high end bloggers to all handmade, vintage, thrifted, or DIY bloggers.
Strategy/Execution: The strategy is to combine Lookbook, Asos, and Instagram into a fusion of photography and fashion. Obviously you already need photography to be an online fashion blogger. Instagram is introducing itself as the new way to take these photographs to give them a certain feel without having to purchase Photoshop or any other programs. I plan to do online banners and advertisements showcasing the fusion of these three companies.
Budget: The great thing about online blogging and instagram is that its free. Its an entirely democratic system with a basic voting layout. Although, one does need to purchase an iphone to have the instagram app. The only cost will be once the person uploads their instagramed photo to lookbook, Asos issues a discount. They will gain this money back by having returning and loyal customers. It will bring about more brand awareness, trust (if they like the product), comfort, and excitement. Obviously there will be the cost of photography, styling, and shoots for the online ads, but I am able to easily produce those myself to reduce costs. Realistically, if this were to actually appear, this would be a huge cost.
It’s a short term campaign but I think it will be effective in the lookbook community because people already display lots of ASOS clothing on lookbook. Now, it will be showcased and enhanced by making a discount with the inclusion of the competition. I figured, once an individual has enough “hypes” on lookbook, they become an ASOS brand ambassador, where they receive more discounts, and possibly appear in an ASOS ad. ASOS also has a magazine that can be incorporated with the ambassadors as well. Maybe they can be a special guest stylist for the next issue of ASOS mag.
