Unfortunately, I do not have anything worth presenting out of my in-progress work, only because I have been spending the last weekend systematically breaking down cereal box art. To me, it's worth spending the extra time to understand properly the mechanics under the hood of such things (specifically the layout structure), instead of doing a cheap Photoshop knockoff in 5 minutes just to have something ready for display. I'd rather I finish the research I am doing (in cereal box design and Photoshop - gradients, 3d effects, etc. ) and then show something really worth presenting - although I will try to not make this a habit. All I can say is to have trust in me that the product(s) will be worth it come this Tuesday...
Anyways, in class I plan to draw on the fly via the dry erase board anyways - if possible - the ideas that have been circulating in my head. Below are the drawings I had ready for the previous week, to give you a loose idea of the way I was originally heading. Basically, it was a regional marketing plan targeting specific substance abuse of main cities (ex. Purple Drank - a knock on Raisin Bran - was designed to appeal to abusers of Promethazine cough syrup in Houston) via the attractive box art of either vintage or modern day cereal box design.
