Becca, hope your project is doing well. Here are some ideas. I hope they are legible. I was writing them with a tablet at a Starbucks. Ha. Anyways, I wish Blogger would let us upload images in the comments section, so I didn't have to take up a full blog post. But yea, I really like your idea. Maybe play with your colors - meaning your palette is nice, but try messing with color harmony and theme.
Anyways, just some thoughts. Your work in both of the classes we share has always been exemplary, so I know you'll figure out what to do. Looking forward to your project.
For everyone else: download SKITCH - it's free. It's a great, easy, and fast way to do quick doodles or corrections on images. Sometimes I wonder if we all plotted on paper what we thought was working or not, it might be easier for others wanting critique to understand. I know I get plenty of useful advice from others but don't know where to start or what on my piece they are referring too. Design is a visual medium.
