For Chapter 7 I chose to look at the ad on page 109. We see an ad for Nokia of a woman looking into a mirror and an image/reflection of a different person looking back. I am not entirely sure what the ad is even portraying or what the idea really was for this campaign. It is not entirely clear. I get the basic vision of looking into a mirror with a different reflection looking back. With that said, the ad that I chose to analyze is this Teamamaxying Body transformation ad for weight loss. This is almost a joke to look at. Anyone who thinks that is even possible or even healthy to loose 15lbs in 8 days without not eating, is going to be shocked. Why this ad is even up amazes me.

Chapter 8 Post
For Chapter 8 I chose to look at the ad on page 131 for the 2008 Cleveland International Film Festival Campaign. The campaign uses typography in basically all of their advertisements. Typography is becoming huge in the design realm and the different ways in which they advertised for the film festival by using it is amazing. They were able to create tickets, tshirts, posters, and banners all with different design work. So to compare that piece, I chose this ad for washing your hands. I am not entirely sure who put the ad out but it clearly gets the message across while giving a sense of imagery with the text. The ad is beautiful and well put together.

Chapter 9 Post
For Chapter 9 I chose to look at the ad on page 154 for the Jimmy Johns slogan posters print campaign. This one just like the one in Chapter 8 that I chose uses typography and a play on words to get their message across in an organized yet graphic manner. Jimmy Johns always has interesting, humorous, and catchy messages that keep our attention and want us coming back for more. So to compare the Jimmy Johns ad I chose this one from Skinny Cow. With a sense of humor and the text being altered to keep our attention-we get the message across about what is being advertised. The text is altered in a way that catches our eye but it keeps us looking. The color contrast is so great and the way the ad is layed out is organized.
